About us

We are couple Magda and Miroslav Pretula living in Umag, 30km from here, and this is our house and studio apartments. House was an builidng fully restored and rebuilt in year 2026 and half from the street was rebult from stones. Made to modern standards with floor heating and isolation on the house and rustical design left on studio apartments.

This house is our project to show to the world old village Sv. Ivan and to put it on the map. The road here ends and no traffic was coming this way so our vison was to make a accomodation surronded with no noise from cars or anything else. Your first neighbour is a wine and olive oil maker San Zvanini i hope you will try its local wine. It is sourced from area you see from the patio. Your second neighbour is conceptual artist Slavica who is always full with positive wibes.

 

Our vision was that our guests stay here, explore vineries and olive oil roads, go to great restaurants whict this area is famous for. Taste best olive oil in the world, taste white truffles, wine Malvasia and Terran and visit places like Grožnjan and Motovun. And most important see and hear how quiet world can be without traffic and city vibrations.

While you are stying here where is a walk and bike path down from the house which can lead you to Grožnjan. Walk explore and enjoj. But respect other people that live here. We do not allow noise after 22h, althogh village is small it is alive and people live here.
